The Shops at Montebello (formerly "Montebello Town Center") is a shopping mall mainly located within the city limits of Montebello, California, with over 160 national and local retail outlets - such as Aeropostale, Disney, Gymboree, Hollister, Victoria’s Secret and BJ”s Restaurant and Brew Co.〔http://www.shopsatmontebello.com/redevelopment.asp?id=2994〕 A small portion of its eastern side is actually within the city limits of Rosemead, California. The boundary line between Montebello and Rosemead runs through the eastern end of the mall. Policing is provided by the City of Montebello. It is managed by The Macerich Company. The mall serves this ethnically diverse trade area with four department stores (JCPenney, two Macy's, the second being Macy's home and 160 shops, eateries and restaurants. A Robinsons-May store was formerly located at the Montebello Town Center, but was closed in 2006 and was subsequently turned into a Macy's apparel-fashion department store. The mall is located directly adjacent to the Highway 60 Pomona Freeway, between the Paramount Blvd and San Gabriel Blvd off-ramps. A comprehensive remodel was almost totally completed in 2009, in time for the holiday season.
